Where the Royal Medallion has one commanding centre, the Kashmar Floral Garden covers the whole field — an unbroken carpet of fine floral scrollwork, edged with a patterned border. It's the older of the two traditions and, for a furnished room, often the more practical: with no central medallion to hide, you can put a coffee table anywhere on it and the design still reads.
