Torino Abstract Terracotta

Broad, dry brushstrokes of terracotta and charcoal dragged across a cream ground — the look of a canvas that has been worked over, scraped back and worked again.

Terracotta is having a long moment in South African interiors and it deserves it: it carries the warmth of a red without the formality, and it sits naturally with the clay, timber and rattan people are already buying. This is the design to put in a modern lounge that has gone slightly too grey.

Part of the Torino collection — modern abstract designs with a soft velvet pile.
